How we work with brands

If you send product for review or want an affiliate relationship, here’s the deal up front so nobody is surprised later.

• Honest reviews only. Gear is tested in the Mike’s Solar Garage shop and say what worked, what didn’t, and who it’s for.
• No pre-approval / no censorship. Brands do not get to script, soft-edit, or kill a video or write-up before it goes live.
• Affiliate links welcome when the product earns a spot — viewers get a code when a code is available; the site discloses affiliate relationships.
• Fit matters. Mike’s Solar Garage prioritizes gear that solves real solar-garage and DIY install problems, not every SKU that ships.

What to send

A short pitch with product specs, intended use case, and whether you’re offering review units, affiliate rates, or both. Include any existing discount code you want viewers to use.

What vendors get

Clear expectations: honest in-shop testing, affiliate disclosure on published pages, and no scripted praise. If a product does not fit DIY solar garage use cases, it may not earn a review slot.
